One of the biggest reggae acts in the world came to Hayfork with the legendary Roots Radics Band. We sincerely thank you all that were there in support of this epic event. We almost made enough to pay for them! The best part of it all is they were feelin it thanks to you deprived ole' bumpkins pouring your hearts out! Video to come...

The authentic sound of Jamaican Roots Reggae will prevail yet again in Hayfork with these original pioneers! Some of their tunes were featured in the film Cool Runnings with John Candy.We're taking a risk again to get this world class act out here so please spread the word and come support the exceptionally high quality scene going down in the 'Fork. Captured! by Robots is a touring musical comedy troupe with only one human member. It is part-concert and part-performance act, made up of three robots, two stuffed apes, three "headless hornsmen" playing backup brass, and their human, "JBOT".

 

The C!BR backstory claims that the human, in an attempt to make his own band, created the robots. Instead of following him, they revolted, pulled out his intestines and eyes, and now force him to travel the world with them, performing music and making him contemplate the inferiority of the human race. THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED! $20

Naive Melodies was formed in Arcata, CA early in 2011, performing and honoring music created by Talking Heads. Sets are designed to interweave older and newer Talking Heads songs. Fans can expect to hear a wide range of material, from early art-rock, to radio hits, and everything in-between. With blends of three-part harmonies, synthesizers, and heavy grooves, this 3-piece dance machine does Talking Heads right!

Secret Chiefs 3 is an instrumental rock group led by guitarist/composer Trey Spruance (formerly of Mr. Bungle and Faith No More). Their studio recordings and tours have featured different line-ups, as the group performs a wide range of musical styles including surf rock, Persian, Arab, Indian, death metal, film music,electronic music, and various others.

The band's name was inspired by the "Secret Chiefs" said to inspire and guide various esoteric and mystical groups, and is a reflection of Spruance's interest in such philosophies. This is a major act respected around the globe and shouldn't be coming to Hayfork. $25. Please help make it happen so we can keep making it happen. Could sellout. more info click here

HR from Bad Brains! w/ Mr.Green All Stars

Living Legend HR of Bad Brains will join Norwood of Fishbone along with some other heavy hitters like Hawaiian Lyon, Rocky George of Suicidal Tendencies as the Mr.Green All Stars. 9 pm. $20. Just lowered the price in hopes more people will come out and support our efforts. We've failed on too many shows lately and might have to reconsider things next year unfortunately. Thanks to all the dedicated heads. Don't miss this!

Born and raised in Sandpoint Idaho, Shook Twins are an Indie folk-pop band now hailing from coniferous forested Portland, Oregon. Identical twins, Katelyn and Laurie Shook, Kyle Volkman and Niko Daoussis form the core quartet. Central elements of the Shook Twins' sound are a wide range of instrumentation, including banjo, guitar, electric and upright bass, mandolin, electric guitar, electronic drums, face drum (beatbox), glockenspiel, ukulele, banjo drumming  and their signature golden EGG.more video here.  more info here.

T Sisters

The sisters captivate audiences with close harmonies, inventive arrangements, and plenty of sass. When performing their lively set of originals and covers—sometimes in arresting a cappella—they call to mind classic girl groups: from The Andrews Sisters and The Ronettes to The Roches and the Dixie Chicks. Touching on elements of folk, Americana, gospel, R&B, bluegrass and soul, the T Sisters weave evocative stories with a sound that is at once modern and timeless.  8pm, $10 cover at door

The Queen of Reggae returns to Hayfork! For those of you who may not  know,  Marcia is one of the original I-Three's who backed Bob Marley and The Wailers, for nearly a decade. She's had many chart topping originals since then, and is responsible for the Electric Slide. Her last performance here was truly a world class act not to be missed.  9:30 pm. $35 advance/ $40 door. Wednesday, Oct. 21st 7:30pm early show

The core members are Fumie Ishii, of Tokyo and Daniel Higgs, of Baltimore. Both committed, through sound and gesture, to participation in a song-sustained state of higher communication with all present at live concert events and in daily life. Stylistically, the duo employs a universal-folkpsalm form, with voice, strings, drums, etc., an “all are welcome” sound. The Fountainsun album, Music Today, is now available.

Sly and Robbie are a prolific Jamaican rhythm section and production duo, associated primarily with the reggae and dub genres.[1]Drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare teamed up in the mid-1970s after establishing themselves separately in Jamaicaas professional musicians. Sly and Robbie are estimated to have played on or produced 200,000 recordings with just about everyone you can imagine...
